Do single player Ark games save?
To manually save your single player world in Ark Survival Evolved on Xbox , you must open the console by hitting the RB-LB-X-Y. Once the console is open, type saveworld saveworld into the console, and then hit finish. Afterward, your game will save manually on Xbox.
Where are Ark single player saves?
Now press the cog icon on the right hand side, choose ‘Manage’ and ‘Browse Local Files’. This should take you to the ARK folder. Now you just need to move into ShooterGame, Saved and SavedArksLocal. You will only be able to modify your single-player save files, as multiplayer saves are stored in the cloud.

Only way to exit the game is first exit to main menu, and only then close the game itself. That alone wouldn’t be something serious, but Ark still have awful memory leak issues, which not only makes a lot of freezes in game, but also make exiting to main menu last up to 3 minutes…
