How many Elven artifacts are in the hinterlands?
Below is a complete list of all 24 Elven Artifacts that can be activated for experience and additional approval from Solas. These are the ones that I currently know of in the game. Video – Hinterlands – Measuring the Veil quest.
Where are Elven artifacts?
Elven artifacts are found in locations around Ferelden and Orlais. When activated they strengthen the Veil in the immediate area.

How do I open the gates of Toth?
To get to the other side of the gate of Toth you have to first complete the mission to get rid of the darkspawn. When you close the tunnel you can exit the dungeon on the opposite side from which you enetered and make a camp. The access to the gate of toth is in the area that is now open to explore through that camp.
Does Solas take your arm?
Solas didn’t take the Mark away, because if he could have done that, there would be no point in removing your arm. He just stopped it from spreading. The Inquisitor is still going to die from it, and nothing was accomplished at all.

The cave can still be entered and looted, but neither demons nor the elven artifact will spawn. After completing this quest, Solas Slightly Approves if he is in the active party while any artifact is found and activated. You are also rewarded 44 XP and 40 Influence for every artifact that is activated.

How do you get to the hinterlands in Skyrim?
The player can initiate the quest in the Hinterlands by taking the east road out from the Crossroads to the fork in the road, and taking the path to the right. Upon doing so, Solas will prompt the Inquisitor into looking into some nearby elven ruins for an artifact that may help prevent veil tears.
