Why is Bristol Zoo shutting down?
Bristol Zoo Gardens will remain open until late 2022 and visitors will not see an immediate change on site while plans are developed further. The site is closing due to the financial impact of Covid-19, declining visitors and the Gardens having made a loss four of the past six years.
What is a super saver ticket at Bristol Zoo?
On their website they give each day a different colour, either yellow or blue. A flexi ticket costs a little more but allows you to visit on both yellow or blue days whereas a Super Saver means you can only visit on blue days.

However, it’s a relatively small zoo, so you could do everything in 4-5 hours if you’re short on time or have kids who bound through each area fairly quickly!
